Well my insurance is covering the TCU as well as everything that Jaymac had said. The piece of plastic was warped and it leaked in through my firewall. Comprehensive damaged covered everything and I expect to get it back on thursday.

Awesome, glad to hear it. Did they put you in a rental? I'm waiting to get the ETA on my car being done, but it should be golden
All's well that end well!

Yeah I got the insurance that covers me in a rental. It's a Grand Prix GT....not a bad car but I can sure the quality difference and just the attention to the little things. Plus the enigine isn't even close to being as peppy, although I do drive the 3.0 and that's not the best engine either.

This reply mabe a little late. My 2004 A6 flooded the same way (drain under battery cloged. Car would not shift right. I removed the TCU under pass rug and It was filled with water. I opened it up, sprayed with Water Displacement no. 40 blew it dry with compressed air reinstalled and the transmission works fine. Could some tell me how to remove the rear seat bottom so I can reinstall the rear rug correctly.

Thanks
