NEED ADVICE ON 2.7t PLEASE!!

i have bought a 2.7t and since this engine is different than my 3.0l im wondering what basic stuff i should use...

should i continue using 5w30 fully synthetic like i do on my 3.0 or use something diff since its turbocharged?

i live in texas so the climate is very warm.

and any other tips by any 2.7t user is appreciated.
thanks to anyone who helps and thanks for looking

If you're already used to maintaining a 3.0, a 2.7T shouldn't be too much different. With the exception of the turbos, the engine is actually easier to work on, IMO.

Any 5W30 synthetic will be adequate for your Texas Summers, but a VW/Audi approved 5W40 would probably be better.

Depending on your oil change habits, you might want to consider more frequent OCIs with the boosted engine. Also, as with any modern Audi engine, you'll get the best performance/drivability from 'Top Tier' 93 octane unleaded.

Drive & enjoy!!

If you drive your 2.7T hard, especially during the hot summer months, you could try Mobile1 15w50 - awesome oil for turbo vehicles in hot climates. You WILL see a noticeable difference in your engine temps.
Just make sure that when winter or colder climates come, you change back to a 5W40 or 0W40.

You'll want to change the oil/filter a little more frequently than in the 3.0. I usually change my 2.7T around 7-8k while it's closer to 10k with my 2003 A4 3.0. I'm not sure I would go as high as 15W even in the Texas summer. I believe the specs call for a Mobil1 0W-40 and I would not go over M1 5W-40. You want very viscous oil when it starts so the turbos are well lubed, and then when it gets really hot it should act more as a 40W and not thin out.
