whoa, you just reminded me about some crazy problem I had. Like 2 years ago on my 2001 A6 the locks would randomly lock and unlock all by themselves while I was driving or while the car was parked. It was crazy because the doors would unlock by themselves while parked on the street after I locked the car. It eventually stopped and I forgot about it until now.

Maybe the switch that turns the lights on in the door jam has gone bad. First I've heard of this issue but that's where I'd start.

I'm glad your car is in good condition...So does my car now,and I also have a u581 in my car to make sure I can know the problem before it is down suddenly.

ohh, so its similar to the issues I had. It has to be one of the door electronics, either from the switch to open/close the door (probably not), most likely its something to do with the sensor telling the car the door is open or closed. (I think after my car stopped locking and unlocking by itself, now my rear driverside door tells the computer its closed all the time, even when open, so that component fried or something in the rear driverside door, but made everything crazy right before it fried) Too bad you cant narrow it down to the exact door, unless you can unplug that sensor or whatever it is for each door and see if it stops...
