Default Need help choosing rims....

Greetings folks. I have an '05 A6 (black ext, amaretto int) and I'm looking to add on some wheels. It doesn't matter if they're chrome, alloy, or whatever, I'm just having a hard time choosing something that fits an Audi.

Any suggestions????

These are the rims that I picked (put the cursor on the photo and it enlarges).

Nice ride Kev. My next Audi will definitely be a white or ivory color! And nice rims as well. Is it true that due to the Audi's quattro system that one should never use a staggered wheel set?

I have been told by wheel and tire dealers to NEVER stagger quattro. Just my 2 cents.

You might use bigger wheels on the front.

Kevin, those look like RS4 replicas in an 18" or 19" rim. I think they are a great looking rim, but would not go larger than 18" due to the small sidewall being prone to rupture and a harsher ride. If I had it to do over, I'd investigate a 245 width versus the stock 235. If the extra width fits, it provides a slightly more aggressive stance and protects the rims a little more. However, if you plan to drive in snow, then you want to avoid a wider tire. And you absolutely have to use the same size tires all around due to quattro, otherwise you'll tear your differential apart.

They are S8 replicas from Hartmann.

I have 18 inch rims.

Stock on the C6 is 245, not 235. I am running 255s.

I use the OEM rims for winter.

Thats BS about audi's running staggered wheels, you can have WIDER rear wheels in the back, but the diameter shouldn't be different. Like running a 19" in the front and a 20" in the back, that would mess things up. I've seen hundreds of audis with staggered wheel set ups.

Nice ride Kevin! I got a pic of an S8 with those exact wheels, Hartmann does an excellent job re-creating them.

thanks for the advice guys.... I COMPLETELY forgot about Hartmann....! Saw some nice rims by Vossen, hope they have replicas.....

Another question....how do I know what bolt system my tire has? 5x112..5x120...etc?
