Default Need Help Identifying a Couple Parts

Hello,

What is the part shown in the photo that sits in front of the engine? This is on a 2002 Audi A6 Quattro 3.0 liter. An explanation for what this systems is and how it works work would be much appreciated.

Not sure exactly what part you're referring too....maybe the image posted above will help you identify it.

I believe those actuators change something in the intake manifold with how the air flows into the cylinders.

Low RPMS it's a longer path and higher RPMs its a shorter path. Helps with a better torque curve on N/A motors.

I'm not positive though.
