Default Need some help with wheels

hey ive had my 2000 4.2 for a few months and i think im ready for some new wheels
i have been thinking about getting the TSW kyalami wheels...

i guess i can only go as big as 19" on the a6, just wondering if anyone has these or something similar. i'm planning on going with the hyper black to match my car.

also i have been reading that there are some problems with vibration when people size up on their wheels. the TSW main page says "TSW wheels are sold with hub centric to rings to ensure a vibration-free ride. TSW wheels are manufactured to extremely high standards that often significantly exceed the industry norm, resulting in a smoother, better handling ride."

i was just wondering if anyone has tsw wheels and know this to be true or if it's just talk???

i know that going up will flush my smooth ride down the drain, but i feel if i am getting new wheels, i have to go up at least 2 inches, i am stock 17". my original thoughts were to go with the 20x8.5 wheel but now i am thinking a 19x8. am i crazy to think this??
thanks for any input!

Default RE: Need some help with wheels

Most people will tell you to go with 17 or 18 inch wheels, mainly for ride quality, but of course there are other things to be aware of such as the cost of 19 inch wheels and tires, potholes and overall weight of the wheels (takes away from performance).

I have 19's on my car along with Continental Contact Sport II Tires. I am very happy with my setup and the overall the ride is nice, but over rough asphalt you will feel it as well as going around potholes to prevent blow outs and bent rims. I love the look of 19's though, it fills up the wheelwell, thats just me!

Take it all into consideration, especially if you do performance mods. I am willingly sacrificing a little bit of performance with my 19's.

Good Luck
