whats up i just got in to a 01 audi a6 2.7t i use to have a lil pimped out mazda millenia with tvs rims jus custom but any way i have a few qustions

1. can i upgrade my factory hids? if so how?
2. Is it ok to change to a aftermarket headunit i heard some stuff about how they can not be changed
3. my screen that tells my mpg is all messed up how can i fix it?

 

Number 3:

1- buy hid kit .. all it is is different wiring
2- you can replace the head unit no problem ... if you have the bose which im guessing you dont bc u don thave xenons then it is a lil harder and bose spkrs wont sound as good ... but the symphony 2 is easy ... wiring harness and 4 radio removal tools and a dash kit is all youll need
3- yea unfortunate that u have to replace the whole cluster i think you can probably just get the screen done at the stealership ... maybe??? but if not then clusters are kinda pricey

 

what size bulbs for the hids and on the speaker grills say bose the stock headunit says symphony

 

you would need to get a whole new headlamp housing i believe

well then you have the bose system ... to be honest your speakers are going to sound like crap without the factory head unit ... why were you looking to change the head unit ...

you still need removal tools and a dash kit and the wiring harness unless you are going to soder everything yourself

id change out your speakers if you were gonna get another head unit ...

Change the bulbs to a newer set. Ebay $40 shipped for some 6000k D2s bulbs.
