Default New Audi A6 Owner

Hello All,

I am a recently new 2007 Audi A6 3.2 Liter Quattro owner and I enjoy driving it so much. It has 105,000 miles on it and I know that it should keep going for many more miles. I have a few questions about it. First are there any MAJOR issues that I should address while I am under warranty. I already checked that, my car has a timing chain so I don't need to worry about that. I have a FEW SMALL rust spots that I am going to get fixed under the corrosion warranty.

2nd question should I put 93 Octane into my car. That is the highest octane we have. Will 89 hurt it? I will try to always use 93 but if i need to will 89 hurt it?

Lastly what RPM's should I stay between, on some cars you are actually supposed to get it above 2500. What should be the range I should stay in?

Thanks in Advance,

This looks like a great place to start by Audi Knowledge

Thanks

i have a 2004 A6 2.7T quattro, from what i read in the owners manual you should try to put 93 in as anything less you will notice less power, but it will be fine. anything lower than 89 will hurt the car. Double check your owners manual, but that should be what it says.
The RPM question may also be answered with the owners manual, thought I do not recall seeing anything about it, i was not exactly looking for it.

Congrats on your new Audi!

There are very few C6 owners on this forum. You would probably do better on the C6 forum over at Audiworld. I believe that the 3.2 suffers from carbon build up problems and oil leaks on the back of the engine.
