Default New Audi owner. A6 trans problems, etc...HELP

Hello everyone. Before I post I want to say I did search this forum for my answer to no avail. And I read the rules to the best of my abilities

First and foremost, I love this car. But it's my first Audi after owning a e46 bmw and I'm nervous owning it

It's a 2005 Audi A6 4.2L. The car has 110,000 miles and it has a new engine with 73k that has paperwork to back it.

Ever since I've owned the car the transmission has been sloppy at best. It had the rpm bounce and downshifted hard from 4-3. I had it into Audi to check the software level and it is up to date with its programming. Last week I had the trans serviced by a 3rd party Audi specialist. They said the oil was very dirty. After the service it drove awesome. Rpm fluctuation stopped completely. Hard downshift from 4-3 stopped....however...now it shifts very hard in 2nd. Going up and espcially down. So hard going down it feels like it got bumped in the rear. I'm at a loss for what to do with this car. From my automotive experience in big trucks a hard shift is not something to just ignore. I don't know what else to do to fix this

Second problem is with the stereo. It plays awesome with the radio on but when it uses the CD player it sounds terrible. Scratchy, etc. I've researched this too and came to the conclusion it is the fiber optic on the CD player? How do you fix that now.

I'm hoping I can find answers for this car. Being a mechanic to start with I'm inclined on repairs, and owning a bmw I'm familiar with the European designs, but this car scares me. I can't find any information on repairs or write ups like I could the bmw. That's why I joined this group. In hopes to find answers to these problems. I have a Bentley for the car in the mail as well.

have you done a transmission oil change? If not do it. there is a ton of people that will say if your transmission is having issues it will either work or it wont'. I've done this on multiple vehicles, and audis, with great success. You will want to do a full exchange style of flush.

you will hear people say that the transmission died after a flush, that is because it was having issues. A good running transmission NEEDS to have a change every 30-50k miles to keep the life running well.
