New To The Board
Hello all. I'm the proud new owner of an 02' A6 Avant. Love the car so far! It was really cold in NH this morning and the car acted like it didnt want to start? Anyone have a similar problem? Car has 43K miles or so....Battery? Do Audi's start hard in the cold? Any help would be great!!!!
Thanks!!

RE: New To The Board
Mine has started no problem in below zero weather. Didthe starterseem to turn over at the "normal" speed? If not, it sounds like a battery. Yours is going on 6 years old, and if it's original it may be time for a replacement. Also, make sure you're running 0W-30 or 5W-30 oil, preferably Mobil1. You never know if some bonehead put in heavier oil.
If you pull the battery, you may lock your radio and need a code to unlock it after you re-install the new battery. The codesseem to be available only from the dealer. The only work-around I heard about was to use a second battery to temporarily keep everything charged (jumper cables to your battery cables, then remove/replace the old battery). Very carefully.
