New in this Forum, few questions to ask
Hi, I am new in this forum, first of all I want to say hello to everybody, I have a Audi A6 Quattro 1999 with 84500 miles, car is originally from NY and has the winter package, I bought it 4 months ago and since I have change the valve cover gasket, one camshft sensor and the brake light swith, (this one was giving no plausible reading in the gear box), in general the car runs smooth, I have the timing belt checked and my mech suggest me to run an other 15,000 miles before change it , I will do before.
I have a question, the horn seams to be weak, it sounds in the front, but when I lock the car with the remote key I hear a bip in the back by the rear left side, I guess that is a second horn, something is wrog with it, I guess I have to replace it of check for trouble, how do I access to it?
Second questions is the CD is not working, radio and casette works perfect, cd, I load it and it reads no CD??
Thanks for the help
Daniel

RE: New in this Forum, few questions to ask
the sound u hear when locking is the alarm. it does sound low compared to the regular horn. but that is normal.
the timing belt should be done at 80-85k miles for about $650 incl water pump and pulleys
what type of cd were u using? a homemade or store bought?
is it the stock cd chgr?
