New member! Question for A6 enthusiasts
Hello Everyone. I'm looking into purchasing a Certified pre-owned 2010 Audi A6 Premium with 19" Sport package. This is the 3.2 (non-supercharged)
I sold my 2007 Infiniti G35-S 6MT Sedan. My question is, coming from a RWD if I get the FWD 3.2 am I going to regret not getting 3.0T supercharged quattro AWD instead? Also I have read the consumer reviews and everyone tells me Audi can be very high maintenance, but I like the styling and safety of the car. Besides I am getting a certified pre-owned so hopefully any issues will be covered under warranty.
What are your guys' thoughts on this?

I own 2 Audis and its a love/hate relationship I'm sorry to say. If you don't mind buying parts for 4 times what parts normally go for and don't mind doing maintaince every few months than there great. And certified doesn't mean all that much but one thing I hate and I'm disgusted with is how German engineering is so great but Audi will never stand by its product. I would tell you buy a brand new one and right when the 4 year 50,000 mile warranty ends sell it.

I always seem to end up defending OOOO. I bought my 2003 with 38k miles and now have 214k. Only major repairs over 8 years have been clutch, flywheel, and cats. Everything else was normal wear and tear parts (brakes, rotors) or preventive maintenance. I do admit to having a cost effective and reliable indy shop. Keep in mind that VAG reliability has been steadily improving since 2006 so a 2010 should be much better. Also keep in mind that with the multitude of bells, whistles, and computer controlled crap on this car it is easy for stuff to fail. OK - my headlight washers no longer work. I live without them. My headlight leveler failed, so I pulled the fuse. But I have no qualms about taking a 1200 mile weekend trip in the dead of winter from MI to NY and back, and I bought a 2003 A4 3.0 for my youngest daughter that she drives several times a year to college, 600 miles away.
If you live in the south, FWD is probably fine. If you live where it snows, buy a quattro. 3.2 vs 3.2T is kind of personal choice -- I like the 2.7T and chipped it. But my next Audi will probably be a 2012 A4 with the 2.0T, in about 3 years (CPO). I considered the S4, but probably don't need that much power and would prefer the improved gas mileage. My daughter's 3.0 has plenty of pep and gets almost 30 mpg on the highway vs my A6's 23-25.
