ok, well i noticed when i was driving around with my stereo off (doesnt happen often) a strange sound near my intake. it isnt the turbos spooling, but sounds more like an intake leak.. I am in need of a MAF, maybe that has something to do with it?

i pulled my codes about a month ago, dont have them with me, but all i recall pulling is a maf code. what do you mean by check levels? <--- newb

 

she is completely stock

 

if you use vag scope (a part of vagcom) you can see your all your metered air levels ... good point gigi ... when my stock DV went it was making this whining for about a day and then it shut up ... check the DV its simple to take off and put back on (cover the hoses i just paid a good amount of money bc i dropped a screw down a hose!!) if the inside of the DV is miscolored (blackened and gold was how mine was) then its bad

stock DVs are known to go bad and can produce a sound so check those. check for a leak by the TBB since it is stock too.
but it could be so mnay things...

 

okay... what is DV and TBB stand for...im new to having problems with my audi...
