New Thule roof rack!
Through my searches on this forum and online stores, I decided to go with a Thule roof rack for my 2002 A6. I decided after looking at Thule, Saris and Yakima, to go with the Thule 400XTR. I got the Hang two surfboard carrier for my 9'4" Long Board. I have a Yakima Big Joe 3 trunk carrier for my bikes, but may ditch that now and get a bile carrier for the roof rack. I think this one looks pretty slick. It's spendy, but I think I worked a decent deal. The Saris looks nice but has limited attachments. I felt since I will likely leave this rack on for the summer, it better look good. This was the best looking IMO. Because it is Thule, there are alot of options too. I did not get the faring for now. I really don't care for their looks, but will get one if this thing starts to whistle. I figure it may be a bit quieter due to the shape of the bars. I will post pics once I recieve the shipment and get this bad boy installed.

RE: New Thule roof rack!
been surfing the forum trying to decide between the factory "base carrier bar" rack and the Thule Rapid system. Thule is definately going to set me back more $$ but i feel it wont be as clunky as the factory rack. you have any pics of your install? would love to see them. How high are the bars above roofline?
thanks!
thanks!
