Question Newb with a problem...

Hey Guys, new to the forum, have searched extensively and haven't found an answer to this.

Just bought a 2001 A6 avant wagon 2.8L with 99000Km on it. When accelerating I hear a rushing (wshhhhhhh) sound, coming distinctively from the from front driver's side of the vehicle. The quicker the acceleration, the louder it is.

Because I had an exhaust leak and had to replace both flex pipes and Cats I thought that would remedy the problem, but the noise persists. Is it possible it's one of the vacuum hoses that's cracked? Doesn't seem to be affecting the performance, or causing any other issue (warning lights etc.)

Please help

Check your brake peddal assist, that is also on a vac system. It is rare that they leak but its worth a shot.
