SO I went snooping in the trunk of my new used Audi A6 looking for a spare. Didnt even think to look before I bought it,

Well, I found a full size spare WITH the identical rim that my car is outfitted with (whew), a brand new set of windshield wipers AND A 6 DISC CHANGER! that was not even listed in the options! I loaded that baby up and it works perfect!
It was hidden in the left side cubby.

It was a nice surprise!

Nice find, but you really didn't look in there before you bought it? Did you look in the other side there should e a jack

 

no, the jack should be on the same side as the cd-changer (drivers). the other side (passenger) is the subwoofer/amplifier

 

You know better, I looked at a few cars recently and one of them had the jack on the opposite side (I think it was an A4) My Bad

 

I honestly did not look. I did look on the passenger side and found the subs, I had read about the 8 speaker system before shopping and wanted to see what was back there, never even thought to look for a spare, or for what might have been in that driver side storage.

 

I suggest checking the tire pressure in your spare.
