My shop quoted me $145 for an oil change!!
Is this a normal price?
This is my first Audi and I have had couple Honda's prior, and I used to do oil changes my self for like $12
Even if I bring it to the dealer, it would only cost $35

Why is it so expensive? are the oil tanks and filters very hard to reach??
Any tutorial on the web? thanks!

 

is this at the audi dealership??? Take it to the audi dealership, i get my oil change (and a free car wash ) for 50- 60 bucks

 

thats on the very highend for an oil change. i payed $104.00 to a private mech., and i swore never again! i pay about $60 now - (and my 4.2 uses 7.5-8 quarts mobil one synthetic)

 

yeah it's from a private mech, let me ask some stealerships here...

my knowledge of automobiles is sad, my dad works at a car plant but since i hardly ever see the *******, maybe once every two or three years, he never taught me anything. 50 bucks every 8 thousand miles is a steal by my book

 

yeah $50 is a great deal, which is not quite possible here in CA
