I am so frustrated, i have changed my oil for the past maybe 5 or 6 times..... the last time i bend the oil filter so much i had to take the car to an oil express ...... now im having the same problem and my god that oil filter is stuck in tight

is there anything else that is easier to take an oil filter out??? besides the round oil wrench?

stab a screw driver through it and twist it off. It is messy but it will come off. Stab the filter off center so you are not stabbing the filter material but the case itself.

When you install a filter, you should tighten it by hand and not with a wrench and make sure you lubricate the o-ring.

Would you provide a photo of the oil cooler flange w/o filter?

Try a large mouth pair of channel locks. If that doesn't work get out the air hammer

you need the oil filter wrench that is like a big pair of channel locks with teeth like this one:

These are best and you should be able to get off any filter with it.

Some of the oil filter wrenches don't grip all oil filters. You need to get a different tool. The oil wrenches that fit on the end of the filter that are used with a socket wrench may slip if used on filters that have the wrong grip pattern. Also, this type of wrench must be of the correct diameter.
I usually use the type that has a band of metal that tightens when the handle is pulled.

However, I use it only when dismounting the filters if they get stubborn. AutoUnionFan is right in regard to tightening only by hand.
