Default Oil Leak Can't seem to locate it...

Hi Everyone,
I have an oil leak on the front passenger side close to the oil pan, but it's not coming from the oil pan...
The oil has no smell, and my mechanic can't seem to locate it the day I brought it in, and he told
me to bring it back again that way he can take his time to look for it, good thing is that he doesn't charge me for
finding the problem...
This leak is close to the front bumper passenger side with all those hoses close to the oil pan.
The leak seems to be getting every where on the bottom of the Pan and hoses right next to the oil pan.
Seems like from the hose of the power steering wheel, but not sure tho????
Anyone out there that had the same issue and solved it?
I have a 98 A6 Q

Sorry for the long explanation

Had same problem with my 98 A6 2.8. Solved it by having crank shaft flange and gasket replaced.

Also check the cylinder heads. You can have a leaky com seal. I had one and it dripped down the motor and took we a while to locate it

Where's the crank shaft flange located at?
I remember replacing two gaskets close to the drivers side, but my issue now is close to the front oil pan close to the bumper
right next to the power steering hose ( I think they are power steering line)
THanks
