Default p01273 code help

my ac on my 1996 A6 quattro blows cold then 20 min latter it blows hot. went to a VW salvage yard & they vag-com the car came up with code:
01273.
fresh air blower control diff. & intermitent

found something on the net about test module j126

Where is it?
I was thinking i needed to get my climate control unit fixed.
but right now i'm not too sure.


please help!!!

I dont think thats where your problem lies but it could be. Check the lines going to the evaporator. Make sure the one going to the evaporator stays cold. If it gets warm then you have a problem with the ac system itself.

Thanks for the reply. checked it last night waited for it to blow warm and check line - it got warm. any ideas???

01273 = A/C heater blower motor fault

if the blower motor was at fault. wouldn't stop working. still blowing stong but hot!

is that the flap under the glove box in the cabin that starts in the open positon then closes, I think. I'll have to check that again.

more stupid questions! Should this flap stay open as long as I'm in ac mode?

im sure it stays open to draw cold air from out side, no such thing as a stupid question all deserve answers
