What types of engine performance mods are available for the A6 3.0? I don't see anything other than stuff for the turbo's and 4.2..?

A PES Supercharger is about it. But if you have CVT, the belts won't hadle the power.

 

The cvt was for the fwd a4's. I think all us a6's were quattro by the time theyd switched to the 3 liter.

 

A6 3.0's with FrontTrak use CVT...I have it.

Just wish it was faster

 

how much do you want to spend? PES will give the 3.0 some fire.

 

Probably not that much....what does that system cost?

 

4-5k just for the PES supercharger.

 

^^Yeah it's not cheap. There are some chips floating around for the 3.0...not as many as for 2.7T though, and it'll probably only make a difference in the butt-o-meter more than power output.

 

chips for the 2.8 and 3.0 only add like 7 or 8 hp and maybe 10 tq, not much. the only significant power increases for a 3.0 or 2.8 is a PES super or turbo charger. but to actually use it or at least use it so that it will make a difference in the power you have to get a couple other things like a intercooler and i'm not sure about the hook ups and everything.
