Default phatbox not detected with Simphony II

Hi,

Just bought a new phatbox for my 2002 A6 with Simphony II head unit. Went through the instruction for the installation but radio could not detect the phatbox. I think I got it connected properly because I get the red and green light when I connect the cable together. I try to go to the setup sequence on the radio but could not get the welcome menu to come up.

Please help.

Thanks

teddybgame,

I have read the post and links you gave. I have tried most of the suggestions on the post except removing the radio. I am still unable to get pass the initial setup on my symphony II radio. I have tried updating the firmware on the DMS multiple times just to make sure this is not a software issue. I have also made sure the connections are correct. My Audi has the existing CD changer cable at the trunk so this should be an easy install but not for me. I had the tech from my Audi dealer look at my setup and they said that the cd changer cable should be connected to the car radio since the phatbox was getting power. They think I have a defective phatnoise unit. Have you experience this before?

thanks again for the advice
