Plastic around steering column
How do you remove the plastic cover on the steerting column? I see 2 holes on the bottom piece. Are these small screws? Is anything else holding it on?
Mine is scratched up pretty good around the ignition. I'm thinking about removing and painting it.

There are two screws that go up into the colum in those holes. They will be either phillips or a very small torx. There is also a screw on the bottom of column. Its behind the mechanism that locks the steering wheel. If you pull the lever down youll see the allen. There may also be a screw behind the steering wheel.

This is only the 2 plastic pieces that surrond the column, the bottom has the hole for the key and theycoverthe turn signal and wipers lever/switches. Do you really have to remove the wheel and airbag just to take those off? Not sure I'm up to that.
Maybe the scratches aren't that bad.
