I just purchased 1998 Audi A6 Quattro from West Palm Beach, FL. I paid 5500 for the vehicle, Vehicle has 103K. Please honestly vote if it was a good purchase or bad.

there's a lot more factors than just age and mileage when it comes to audi. things like maintanence records, how the previous owner cared for the car, options, wear and tear, things like that. for $5500 though, probably can't go too wrong, especially because it'll be a good car if it's been taken care of.

 

That sounds exactly like something I would do. Hard to say if its a good buy or not though. Keep us updated! Congrats on your new car!

 

If you already bought the car, why do you care if you got a good price? Just enjoy the ride.

I agree with Mustang - If 104K miles is with good maintence it is an OK buy but if the maintenance was marginal then $5500 is way too much.

I usually look at mid 90's Audis with 150- 200K that is in good to excellent condition for $2000 to $4000 (they are out there) Last ones were 96 with 130K for $3000 (about 3 years ago) and then a 97 with 170K for $2500 a few months ago.

Check the records to see if the Timing belt was done...if it wasnt do it ASAP
