I think I have a problem with my air pump, when I first start the car after it sits for a while there is a whining or grinding noise coming from somewhere near the air pump. Is this serious or should I replace it soon?? Anybody else with this problem or any other ideas??

 

same prob, its the secondary air pump. are youthrowing a code yet? either way chances are that its not an immediate threat but you should replace it before too long. buy one and install yourself, its pretty easy, saves some dollars.

 

Thanks for the input, just picked one up and i'm going to install it tommorow. Price was $424.00 is that about right?
