im kind of a newb and i might sound stupid for asking, but what exactly is that bentley manual?
is it a manual going in depth of all the parts of the vehicle or something??

Yep.. its the factory repair manual. An over-priced, less valuable Hanes manual...But hey, its made by the people who wrote it for Audi, so its good, right?

You know Everytime I see a Hanes rack I look for an Audi book.I never see one. I have to order one is Chilton still around?

Take that back.. they have the A4... only. Same with Haynes. Screw Bentley....

Play nice guys

The Bentley manual assumes you are an Audi technician and already know about the vehicle. It is not designed for the new bee. It doesn’t have the generic crap that is in Chilton or Haynes- nor the pretty pictures. I find it is best to combine Bentley with Epics and some of the info on this web site when figuring out what needs to be done.

In my opinion if you plan on doing anything to your Audi yourself the two must haves are Bentley and VagCom: with Epics, a web connection, patience, and good parts supplier running a close third.

Thank God for this forum. No book can teach you those little characteristics that Audi doesn't admit to.

I was just thinking it would be nice to have an extra book around, But for techs? I've read through it a bit and get a kick out of the red warnings "Don't loose this screw you ******* idiot!I swear it said that when I looked up the widow regulator removal.
