Default ***** sounding horn

We have a 2005 A6 and when you need the horn (holy smoke) it sounds like it should be mounted in a French puudle jumper (wife loves to use the horn) and you can barley hear it inside when blown, sounds almost as if its a mono horn. Anyone else have a horn that sounds this way or are they suppose to be like that, I think it is mounted behind the front bumper on the passenger side (may try and look at it next week when I get to Florida.)

On my 01 there are 2 horns, so perhaps you have one that is not working? I had a mk3 vw and that horn sounded more german (solid deep tone) than on my Audi.

One of the dual horns is blown, they are both behind the bumper, one on each side. Its usually women that blow them up too!

Go to trainhorns.com and order and install a train air horn if you really need a horn.

Or yank one from an old mustang and install it.
