Exclamation question with installing radio controls on steering wheel

i own a 2002 audi a6 quattro 3.0 that does not have the radio controls on the steering wheel
but i found the center section on the steering wheel that has the radio controls off a 2002 audi a6 4.2
i was wondering if i bought this could i have it installed so i have the radio controls on my steering wheel or is there more wires that im not thinking off,

it will work with a new self cancelling ring aka clock spring which has wiring built in for the buttons. I don't know the part number.

Even with the new clock spring, there will still be more wiring needed. If you want to go this route, look for a good used steering column assembly with ALL wiring harnesses intact. You can reuse your airbag, so one with a blown bag would work and you should be able to find one cheap.

the steering wheel that you have on your 02 will not hold that one in the link it might not be the right size for your actual wheel, i just got a newer a6 wheel with audio controls and the upgraded look with the chrome ring in the middle for my 99 a6 and i had to replace the whole wheel, because the old airbag was not as deep as the 02 and wouldnt fit
