what bulb type is uses for the front fog lamps on a 2002 A6? The websites say H3.. but I don't think that is the right fit, just checking to confirm w/u'all.

yea, i bought the H3 from powerbulbs... as per their website. but they don't fit! anyone else? the H3 has a little wire coming from the bulb, whereas the existing bulb has a two prong just like a standard household plug. anyone else change the bulbs in their fog lamps?

 

98-01 uses H3

all the guides I see say H3 as well for 2002+ but in pics it looks like an H7 bulb

 

this is an H7... also used in your high beams iirc

 

I think ur right it looks like an H7, the same I use for the passat headlamp.

yea, it looks like the guides are wrong again, everytime i get an oil change, they have a problem fitting the filter because the guides show a different size. anyone else have that trouble? just giving u'all a heads up.
