I raced my homeboys 94 Supra (Turbo)(Auto), he got like 64K miles on it, its always breaking down tho. He's more worried about going fast andmaking it faster then itrun right, I think its garbage. Anyway, he got exhaust, a downpipe, and 20's, it looks good on 20's. Off the line, he pulled on me all day, but from a roll, I got him by a 1/2 a car and it stayed that way, he told me that he couldn't catch me. I'm taking 1-1 record.

 

Lol that should never happen. I've seen supras run high 8's that are incredible machines. I have also seen one blow up before it ever launched. It all depends on how the work was done with those highly tuned vehicles. Tell your friend that the 20's arent a good idea if he really wants speed.

 

I think so, its basically stock except for the exhaust and its a automatic. A while ago, say like 1996, this show called Motorweek did a matchup on the 300ZX (13.8 1/4 mile), RX-7(13.9 1/4 mile), 3000GT(14.1 1/4 mile) and the Supra(14.1 1/4 mile), all were 5 & 6 speeds, turbo,and pro drivers. Since I saw that, I have no respect for supras. Hes has a auto so hes doin like a 14.4-14.6

So he's just gonna throw on a big turbo and hope it will work? Thats a good way to blow the motor LOL.
The only reason i have so much respect for the supra is the engine and drivetrainare bulletproof.
The stock motor and drivetrain can handle around 800 HP with NO internalmodifications, that cannot be said about the other cars you listed. End of story.

 

I've always liked the 300ZX, I thinkthey looks better. Toyota waited 4 years to bringthat body style Supra out and the 300ZX was still faster and handled better with the 4 wheel steering. To me, thats not saying a lot for Toyota.
