Default Radio swap question

The radio in my wifes 98 A6 stopped working. She said someone pulled out in front of her causing her to slam on the brakes and when she did the CocaCola in her cup that was sitting in the dash mount cup holder splashed out and down into the radio area. The radio is a audi 4b0 035 186 a, I'm having a problem finding someone to repair it or finding a replacement. Will other Audi radio part numbers intercahnge with this one with no mod's. I want it to drop in as easy as it came out.

Thanks
Rick

Check out http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-C5_A6-...hony/ES365823/ They are having a really nice sale on them. I believe they are $40.

Just be for-warned they are not Bose units.

Well, I can answer my own question with NO, they are not all the same. I checked out the deal that Coors mentioned and it is a great deal. My luck though, the radio showed up and it is twice the height of my old "concert" radio. I dont blame this on Coors at all. Ecstuning's website shows the radio and a fitment chart that shows that it will fit.

Do I have to remove something or change the mounting frame to make this thing fit? Can someone please post a picture of this "Symphony I Radio " mounted in their dash?

Thanks
Rick
