So I've noticed that there seems to be a shortage of companies that offer repair manuals for the A6... I've typically had a Haynes manual for every vehicle I've owned, but can't find much selection for this one! I did find a large (900+ pages) manual for $75, and I'm not too keen on dropping that $$ for a book, but if there aren't any other options... I guess I'll have to bite it.

Suggestions?

 

Bentley has great manuals for our cars but they can be pricey.

 

It is almost impossible to buy an expensive car and then find cheep items to go with it.There are a few cheap manuals that claim to give info about Audi's but they give limited info and in many cases are wrong. Bently is just about the only way to go.. but even then you have choices. Some manuals can be purchased as books, some on CD,and other either way. I like the books because they are easier to drag out to the vehicle and can be easily sold when you move up to the next super Audi -- but they are mose expensive.

In any case don't buy the E-bay "factory CD" forbetween $5 and $25 because the info is so generic you could not tell if you were working on a focus or Audi.

I just got my Bentley manual in the mail from Amazon today! It looks quite thorough, but thanks for the heads up on the inaccuracies!! I'll keep an eye out!

With the money you save by doing work yourself on the Audi, you will recoup the cost in not time. Amazon Bentley delivered was about 75 USD.

Also worth investing in a Vag-Com as already mentioned.
