I had the common 'turn signal random clicking noise' issue so I replaced the hazard relay with a new one and now it's worse. Now, the random clicking is almost non-stop and it’s much faster now. Any ideas what the culprit might be? I know it might be the turn signal arm but wanted to see if there are any other possibilities. Thanks.

 

The turn signal stock is shorting out the relay, its quite common. You will need to replace the turn signal switch, then put in a new relay.

I have read the DIY to replacing the turn signal stalk but it is different than the one shown. Got the airbag unhooked in one area but couldn't unhook the other. Finally gave up. Mine has a yellow connector, got that unhooked, then a white one, also got that unhooked. There is a stubborn black connector that I finally gave up on. Also, the plate holding the bag didn't come off with the bag. Any ideas?

 

Would a bad signal switch also cause the windshield wipers to not function? Also the blower for the climate control does not work. I got a code for that when I ran the vag-com. Could the motor be good and be related to the other symptoms?
i have tried a new flasher unit, a new ignition switch and tried a new relay.
