Default Replacing Left Front Drive Shaft

Hey Guys

Anyone have experience in replacing a front half shaft.
My CV Boot tore and I can hear the bearings on the driver side.

Bought a complete assembly from Rock Auto, going to get on it this weekend...

Seems straight forward, just wonder how difficult it is to get the top spindle joint free.

Not to bad at all you will need a 12 point to remove the bolts on the half shaft, loosen the axle bolt before you raise the car it is very tight. should take you a couple hours.

Make sure you clean / hit those half shaft bolts with some PB blaster / hot wrench if they're really stubborn (torch). When I did my rears I stripped one or two of those bolts and it's a pain in the *** to back them out once that's happened. You're probably looking at a three to four hour job depending on your experience.
