S-Tronic issue?
I have an A6 Allroad TDi 204 2015. The car has done 60.000 km and I've owned it since it was new.
A few months ago I started to notice that the S-Tronic is behaving differently when shifting between 4th and 5th gear. In all other gear shifts it is performing as expected: quick and smooth gear changes where the rev needle repositions directly.
Between 4th and 5th gear the rev needle changes position in two steps: as an example, it will first lock on to 2.500, and then it revs down another 3-400 before pulling in the next gear. This isn't normal.
I have recorded a clip:
- This behaviour is the same, regadless if you go full throttle acceleration or more gentle acceleration through the gears
- No difference whether the car's in Dymanic or Comfort mode
- No difference whether the gearbox oil is cold or warm
- The same behaviour does not appear from 2nd to 3rd or 6th to 7th, using the same clutch
- The gearbox oil was changed at 60.000 km with no difference in behaviour
Is this something I should worry about?
