Default Saying hello to the A6 peepz

Hey guys, been lurking for awhile. Just wanted to say hello. I just got rid of my 99 Lexus GS400 for an '03 A6 2.7T. Well not 'just' but I did back in Nov of 07.

Very impressed with it, not as fast as my Lexus V8 but ah well it was getting old. I posted some pics below of the Lex.

My 2.7T is pretty much stock, except for some 6000k Phillips bulbs. Looking at getting some hartmann wheels soon and I have a delsa motorsports spoiler on the way.

EDIT: FYI guys im a big @ss forum ***** so expect quite a bit of posting from me.

nice, do some nice little bolt ons and some tuning and your audi will leave your old lexus in the dust. you should post some pics of your a6 when you get a chance.

lol i dunno man, my lexus had some 'nice' little bolt ons as well. SRT Intake and ECU, Ltuned Steering ECU, Borla Exhaust...etc etc. THe 20's were knockoffs, Binnos 20x8.5. I had a shitload of stuff in that baby, everything except some forced induction.

Ill get some of the audi when I clean it, for now you can drool over my signature pic...lol.

That is a mighty cleanGS400 - I wouldn't have called it a 99 that is for sure.

So why did you trade? Seems like you had everything in the Lexus....and one could surely argue anything Lexus makes is going to be a heck of a lot more reliable than an Audi, but without knowing the history or mileage on your GS I guess I'm just curious.

In any case welcome!

hey welcome to Audi. Your LExus was nice. I know they are pretty quick. One of my colleague has a Lexus V8 like yours with exhaust, tune, rear diff, C/O, SSR wheels... Looks hot for a LExus too. His is fast, even off the line, he pulls strong.
Yes the Audi is no slouch for a 4000lbs car but realize you switched to a much smaller less powerful V6. However, with just a $600 chip, you'll be as fast as your Alexus was and more fun.

haha, well in that case, that makes it a little more of a challenge!oh well, i think the AWD is a nice trade-off, even if it is a tad slower.

150,000k on the odometer. Thats too high mileage for me. I bought the GS with 23,000 on it from a member off clublexus.com back in 01. Was still running strong when I got rid of it.

Yes the AWD is nice, but I miss the RWD. I had the GS in South Florida, then moved back to NY so RWD didn't work out well in the snow.
