Default screws that hold in air intake on front of hood

hey guys

took the front end apart and I forgot which screws hold in the air intake to the front rad support . Can someone tell me or post a pick ? i have a handfull and kind of wanted to get the right ones.. i think they are a large slotted Pan head but i have 4 of those so hat doesn't make sense .. thanks for a pic or any help .

There should be two screws and they are long, like an inch, with a Philips head. Here I got a picture with my phone, sorry the screw looks so bright/white, it was the flash and dirt - in reality it's a pretty dark gray throughout.

They are black and philips pan head if I remember correctly. I will be a pal and take a picture once I get out to the car this evening.

ahhh !!!!! i can't belive it ... now that I see the pic i remember thanks .. of course that means I lost both of them ! evrything else fit .. a whole freakin timing belt job and i lose those !!! are you kidding me !!!

at least i know now what I can replace them with .. ..and there is no chance I put those things on anywhere else ..

Well honestly, just find some screws that fit, it's not really a crucial point for anything - not to mention that the screws that they use stick down 3/4 of an inch inside the intake??? I don't understand that.

I got pictures off my phone just now, up above you can see the actual screw and here is one inside the intake:

Thanks NM for the pic .. it is basicaly just a trim phillips in black .. wierd that i lost mine though .. didn't want to put some ugly bolt on ..
Of course as soon as I hunt down a couple I will be sure to find mine

He beat me to it. FYI, it is about 1 1/8" long and the washer is 5/8" diameter. No point in uploading my blurry picture now.

These are metric screws - if one uses Imperial measurements => there could be a loss of German engineering advantage.

I bet they ae lighter to save overall weight .. less of a pitch maybe means less metal
