Default service work?? dealership or independent

i was wondering what you guys do for service work. do you take it to a dealer, independent (euro only), or an indepedent that does most makes and models, or do you do ALL the work yourself? if this should be a poll question question instead feel free to make the proper adjustments. thanks

most do it themselves because of ridiculous prices quoted by the dealers others would probably go to an independent if they were shy of knowledge and rich go to the dealers

I do most of my work my self on my 96 Avant, but I now got a new better paying job so when I become lazy and well don't really feel like doing a certain job my self I take it to an independent shop.

I only take it to a independent Audi/VW shop not one that mixes but that depends on the availability of shops like this in your area.

I just had the rear tranny seal done and a tranny service also all at the same time, the bill was $475. $300 for the trans seal and $175 for the tranny service.\

So its up to you really.
