Should I buy it?

Should I buy it?
Been looking at this 2000 A6 2.7t with 94,000 miles on it for $9800. I called the dealerships its been serviced at and they basically said it was maintelled well, but I didnt have enough time to ask what specifically was done, but i will call again tomorrow. From what ive read on here the biggest problem is the timing belt needs to be changed at 90,000? My question is, if it hasnt been replaced yet is it still worth $9800. I've been looking around for awhile and havent found one this cheap. It also needs new tires. Should I buy it or no? thanks

RE: Should I buy it?
if the timing belt and major service has already been done, i would say that is an amazing deal... turbos should be good for a while depending on how the previous owner drived. if the service isint done, i would still say that is a pretty decent deal.

Timing belt on an A6 is signficantly more. $1200 is great, $15-1600 standard, $2000+ not unusual at a dealer. When it's done, it's SOP to also replace the water pump, pulleys, & tensioners at the same time.

least you will pay for a timing belt job is about 800 bucks. Also, I would not trust the dealer too much - they'll say anything to sell the car.
$9800 for a 2000 Bi-turbo? The deal's good, but the car will lose a lot of value fast. You do understand, if the dealer could get more money for it, they would definitely try to!!
