Single DIN Radio to Double??

Single DIN Radio to Double??

I have a 99 a6 with the wide single DIN radio. What would it take to convert it to the double Din like the newer models?

I personally like double din. I always put in either an eclipse or pioneer nav/dvd unit. single din just doesn't do it for me.

Thats what I meant to say. I had to edit it. I want to install a double DIN but have the single DIN now. It looks like I have to get new A/C controls to make it work. Hopefully someone will chime in soon....

Oooohh I gotcha. I don't know. My A6 came with a double din so I hav no experience with the single din dashes. Wish I could help.

Prolly look around for a kit that relocates the climate control lower and leaves a double din opening.
