Default Sirius Radio for new C6

Looking for anyone who might know where to find the Sirius receiver that integrates with the MMI system on my A6. They are evidently back ordered by my dealer and he wants $550 for a new one...I have got the portable with the FM modulator, but would much rather go digital using the MMI interface. Maybe I am just cheap.

Wait for the dealer. The MMI has "crashed" on me and it took the dealer a week to figure it out and fix it. They initially wanted to blame the "crash" on my DVD entertainment system and get me to pick up the tab for 60 hours of service and parts. They backed down when I pointed out that they had installed the entertainment system. So my advice is don't give Audi the opportunity to point at anyone elese for problems with the MMI.

Thanks for the advice. Glad it worked out for you that dealer would cover it.

You have to use the audi factory receivers because its a fiber optic system that runs in a loop. If one of the slave modules like the sat. reciever is missing the entire MMI system will not operate. Un-less its coded not to see satelite radio, wait for the dealer part you don't wanna go aftermarket there.

Excellent advice-after I have purchased the system from the dealer, is it something that I can do myself or is it better to have the dealer install?
