SLR has many calims on this chip which costs under 80 bucks: better fuel economy, increased horsepower and torque (50 each!), prolonged engine life etc. Is what they claim true? Can this chip cause any unforseen harm to my 1999 2.8 liter V6 with 171,000 miles? Has anyone used it in an Audi?

 

I claim BS. If their chip increases 50 hp and 50 ftlbs on a 2.9, I will pay them $10000.

 

Hey hxgaser, i was looking at the slr chip too. Although i dont expect the huge gains they claim, can a chip if poor quality actually damage the car (computer)?

 

I also claim bs. I'm come across their website and I think it says UP TO 50 hp. If you have a turbo that would make sense.
