Soft Brake Pedal
We were given a 2000 Audi Quattro 2.7T from my brother-in-law. The brake pedal was softer than I’m used to so I checked the brake pads for wear. The fronts were decent but beyond halfway work. Once replaced, the pedal never changed. It almost goes to the floor yet still stops and ABS activates. This is the first luxury car in our family as we’ve always been truck people thus used to the brakes on heavy to moderate duty diesel trucks. This may be normal. I simply like a solid pedal on anything my family drives. Aside from traditional brake bleeding which I’ve already done a few times on this car, am I missing something specific to Audi braking systems? Currently, there are no warning lights on inside nor has there been since we received this vehicle.
