What could cause the speedo needle on my 98 a6 Q to bounce around from 130km to 150km sometimes when I am travelling at 140? It just seems to go back and forth, while the car seems smooth and running well.

Any ideas ??

The cluster is bad. Take it to the dealer and have them do a gauge sweep.
