splash guard important or waste of plastic?
Was wondering if anyone has an opinion about the undercarriage splash shield. The mechanic who last worked on my car apparently decided it was too battered to reattach. Should I get it back or look for a new one or forget about it?

he was prob to stupid to figure out how it goes on or how to make it fit to be honest. Doesn't hurt to have it on and i rather hear plastic other than metal when it hits the ground

I would put it back on ECS tuning sells a fastnerr kit for $40...I just picked one up. Afte awhile the plastic and metal fastners tend to fail. Helps shield water, dirt, and debriswhile assisting in overall aerodynamics.

It also adds stiffness to the front of the wheel weel liners. I have been running without the under tray and noticed that the front wheel well liners have been rubbing against the tires. I assume this is due to aerodynamic forces pushing the liners back onto the wheel.

I assume that it means the airpushes the fender well into the tire, produces a rubbery smell, and polishes the thin plastic thingy. All not good! [sm=bs.gif]
