I have a 2001 2.7T with the auto trans and tiptronic. Isaw in myowners manual that there is a sport steering wheel thathas the buttons on it that will allow youto shiftgears like the tiptronic. Currently I have the steering wheel that has the audio features. I'll beswitching outthe stereo so those buttons will become useless and the other buttons I don't use anyway (phone buttons). So I was wondering if I could swap inthesport steering wheel anduse it to shift.I'd imagine that there might be some wiring needed, but then again, they may have thought of that and it's already there.
