Default sticking door handle

My passenger side door handle is sticking cause the door to not shut properly until the handle is forced back down. Is there any simple fix for this?? WD-40 perhaps and if so where do I spray it?

Thanks.

The inside handle sticks or the outside handle sticks?

There is no easy fix for the outside handle, the only way to fix it is to replace teh outer latch.
So your gonna have to take the door panel off, remove the entire window frame, un-hook the cables from the door latch, pop out the slide lock for the handle and it will fall off. When you get it off you can try to lube it up with some WD-40 if you want but i don't think it would work.

So, WD-40 is a no go. I imagine white lithium grease won't work either???
You know, I've had that door's remote lock inoperable for a while. Could that have also caused the sticking? If I get the locking mechanism changed out will it fix the sticking handle??

Well thats what you have to find out. When you get the door panel off the door latch has a solid cable that goes directly to the handle so you'll have to watch it when you lock and un-lock the door.
The two possibilities are the handle itself is sticking and needs to be replaced,
or the latch is messing up and makes the handle stick out cause the rod is not retracting like it should.

Well in my case, when i use the keyless to lock or unlock nothing at all happens with this passenger side door. it's been like that for a while....wasn't something urgent we needed to get fixed. then this past weekend ona road trip the wife and I noticed the handle sticking when opening the door from the outside.
the dealer has already diagnosed that problem to a faulty locking switch/mechanism in the door. So you think if i have them replace it, it will fix the sticking door handle issue?

Oh yeah for sure, if the latch is malfunctioning most likely.
