Default TCM Help PLEASE.....

so..I know that I need a replacement of the TCM for my 99 Audi A6 2.8L front wheel drive with automatic/tiptronic transmission, but I haven't been able to find one.
I also called the audi dealer but they want for a new TCM $1300 and I just don't want to pay that much. I've search the web like CRAZY and I have still been able to find one.

Does any one know where i could get one cheaper than the audi dealer or does anyone have one just laying around?

Did you search ebay using the part number off of your tcm? I have usually found them pretty easy on there. If that doesnt work I use the site www.car-part.com they have a search function and in the notes enter the part number off of your tcm and you should get several responses. Also try Shokan!

I have a couple laying around but they are out of flood cars and I wouldnt trust them.

Shokan has them and they say they are tested. I woulod check the local junk yards first chances are you'll get it a lot cheaper there.

Go to BBA Reman or similar, they will fix yours for about $150. Waste of time to look and hope that used ones are any good when your can be rebuilt like new.
