Is my 2000 a6 4.2 trans. Toast????
Have not posted here for some time..
My 2000 a6 4.2 with 144.000, has a slipping tramsmission.
I dropped the pan, installed a new filter, lost a little over 5 litres - no sludge just a little silverish slim on the magnents. Took abut 7.5 litres to fill her back up, I did all of this by the book. I also cut the old filter apart and it looked very clean.
Now, it still slips and the PRNDL lights up solid on the dash.
Is this a mechanical problem or could it be electrical???
Would be very interested to know how KPRCI is coming with the rebuild?????
