timing belt?
i was just wondering if changing the timing belt is hard or not. Ive been doing my own work on my cars since i could remember. this is my first german car and first turbo car so not that familiar with it yet
Just make sure you have proper tools. Here are some tools other than the usual tools you will be needing.
- Cam lock bar
- Crank lock pin
- Gear puller
I recommend that you do cam seals (at least the front ones) where you are at it.

should i be quick on getting this done. the car has about 55 on it just want to make sure it doesnt go on me but if its not that important that it gets done right now i would like to worry about other aspects of the car
i was forced to do my t-belt due to a failing water pump... not hard, just a P.I.A to take the stupid car apart into service mode....
Would I do it again... Hell yeah, saved my self about $800.
i would just get the cam-locker tool, and google audi timing belt DIY, there are some great writeups that give step by step
go for it.... and good luck
